Gov. Ned Lamont has confirmed that he asked Board of Regents chair Marty Guay to resign following a sexual harassment scandal at Connecticut State College and Universities.
Guay's resignation came just three days after CSCU released two years worth of sexually explicit text messages from Dr. John Maduko – the system's former interim chancellor.
Maduko's accuser said she complained to CSCU leadership, but nothing was done.
"Look, I'm not going to jump to conclusions; that's why we have an independent investigation going on. I am going to get a new head of the Board of Regents to take the lead on this and make sure there's no stone unturned," said Lamont.
Lamont says he plans to name a new Board of Regents chair by the end of this week.
