The Parkchester Watch Group is raising concerns about safety on East Tremont Avenue.
They cite a lack of lighting and security cameras as the main issues. Advocates say robberies and assaults are becoming more frequent, and dark streets make the area feel unsafe.
Resident Peter Hamilton, who is a leader in the Parkchester Watch Group, expressed frustration.
“It doesn’t seem like they care about our safety or security," he says.
The group is urging Parkchester Condominium Management to install cameras and improve lighting.
Residents hope these changes will create a safer environment for their community.
News 12 reached out to management and is waiting to hear back.
