News 12’s parent company, Optimum, is launching a new grant program to support local businesses in Woodbridge.
The initiative, titled “Lifting Up Small Businesses in Woodbridge, New Jersey,” is being rolled out in partnership with the Woodbridge Chamber of Commerce.
Small businesses located in any of the 10 towns within Woodbridge Township are eligible to apply. To qualify, applicants must have a brick-and-mortar location and employ fewer than 10 people.
Optimum officials said the program reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening local communities.
“We are committed to helping out communities,” said Larisa Perlovsky, area marketing director at Optimum. “And as I said at the start of this program, small businesses, this is the heartbeat. So when the small businesses are successful, that allows the community to be successful.”
The program will award 25 small businesses in Woodbridge with $5,000 grants to support their growth.
