A former Washington Township middle school teacher has been indicted on 12 counts, including sexual assault of a minor, manufacturing child sexual abuse material and pattern of official misconduct, Gloucester County prosecutors announced Wednesday.
Ashley A. Fisler, 36, of Washington Township, was indicted by a grand jury on charges stemming from an alleged sexual relationship with a student while she taught at Orchard Valley Middle School.
According to prosecutors, the victim, now an adult, reported the relationship on Jan. 23, 2026, alleging multiple sexual encounters with Fisler in 2021 while the victim was a minor. The encounters allegedly occurred in Fisler’s vehicle and in her classroom. Investigators later recovered text messages that prosecutors said confirmed the unlawful nature of the relationship.
Fisler was initially charged in March with six counts of sexual assault of a minor, one count of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of official misconduct.
The indictment adds charges of pattern of official misconduct, manufacturing child sexual abuse material, possession of child sexual abuse material and distribution of obscenity to a minor.
Fisler is being held at the Salem County Jail pending trial.
