        The holiday season is in full swing, but with holiday sales comes holiday scams.
        The City's Department of Consumer Protection warns the holiday season is prime time for rip offs.
        The NYPD issued a scam alert, providing the public with tips and tricks to dodge scammers. These scams come in all forms, from fake ads and websites to gift card fraud.
        The City's Department of Aging says older New Yorkers are greater targets for gift card scams.
        Scammers can contact people in many way as they look to steal your private information for a profit.
