        Dozens of people were evacuated Thursday when a lithium-ion battery sparked a fire at a Wallkill apartment, officials say.
        It happened at the Slatewood Apartment on East Main Street.
        Firefighters say 75 people were evacuated for several hours and that everyone got out safely.
        The Mechanicstown fire chief says investigators were able to trace the fire to a lithium ion battery, but could not say what it was used for.
