A New Jersey Transit train collided with a vehicle in Lincoln Park Monday morning, killing the driver.
Officials say it happened just before 9:30 a.m. at the Ryerson Road crossing. The driver died at the scene of the crash, officials say.
The Montclair-Boonton Line train was scheduled to arrive in Hoboken at 10:30 a.m.
New Jersey Transit police are investigating the crash. A spokesperson for NJ Transit says that the crossing gates were down and working when the driver drove around the gates and into the path of the train.
No one on the train was injured, officials say.
