Cooler air has arrived in our region with plenty of sunshine and highs in the 50s for today and tomorrow. The wind is much lighter than yesterday, NW at about 10-15 mph, but the low humidity combined with our ongoing drought is enough to bring an elevated risk for fire danger again today. The National Weather Service's Red Flag Warning form Saturday has been allowed to expire.

Overnight tonight, temperatures will drop into the upper 30s or near 40. A few cooler neighborhoods could drop below freezing. Monday night will be the last chilly one for a while before clouds and warm weather swings in for the middle of the week. Tuesday starts off clear, but clouds will arrive in the afternoon with a stray sprinkle and highs in the 60s.

Temperatures will approach records on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Thursday will likely be the warmest day out of the week, and perhaps one of the warmest Halloweens on record. Highs will soar into the upper 70s.

Showers are possible on Saturday with a better chance for rain the following week.

TODAY: Sunny and much cooler with highs in the upper 50s. Lows in the mid-upper 30s.

MONDAY: Sunny and cool with highs in the upper 50s. Lows near 40.

TUESDAY: Sunny to start, then a few afternoon clouds. A sprinkle is possible. Warmer with highs in the mid to upper 60s.

WEDNESDAY: Sun and clouds and much warmer again with highs in the low to mid 70s.

THURSDAY: Near record warm. High temperatures in the mid and upper 70s.

FRIDAY: Sun and clouds with a stray shower. Highs in the low to mid 70s.
