An Ocean Township man was indicted on multiple drug charges following an investigation that authorities said seized thousands of fentanyl-laced pills and nearly a kilogram of cocaine in Brooklyn.
New York Attorney General Letitia James announced the arrest and indictment of Azer Arslanouk, 36, of Ocean Township, on charges related to the illegal sale of fentanyl and cocaine in Brooklyn.
Authorities said they seized more than 8,887 counterfeit oxycodone pills containing fentanyl and more than 891 grams of cocaine, with an estimated street value of about $100,000.
The indictment was unsealed Thursday in Kings County Supreme Court. Arslanouk is charged with 31 counts, including criminal sale and criminal possession of a controlled substance and conspiracy.
Authorities said the 30-month investigation included physical surveillance, cellphone GPS tracking, hidden cameras and undercover operations.
Investigators said that between December 2024 and January 2025, Arslanouk conducted four separate drug sales involving cocaine and counterfeit oxycodone pills containing fentanyl.
Officials said Arslanouk stored and sold drugs from a storefront on Lake Street in the Gravesend section of Brooklyn and used encrypted messaging apps to talk with buyers.
A search of the store resulted in the seizure of the fentanyl-laced pills and cocaine, authorities said.
If convicted, Arslanouk faces a maximum sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
