An NYPD officer is recovering after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver in East Flatbush.
Police say the officer was directing traffic at the corner of Schenectady and Church avenues just after 8:30 p.m. Sunday when he was struck by a black sedan.
Police say the car had an orange license plate and fled the scene.
The officer was taken to the hospital, where he is expected to recover.
Police are now searching for the driver of the black sedan.
