Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man wanted in connection to an unprovoked stabbing on the D train early Thursday morning in Brooklyn.
Police say the attack happened around 1:50 a.m., when a 25-year-old woman boarded a northbound D train at the 55th Street station in Borough Park. Investigators say a man approached her and stabbed her in the chest and shoulder with a sharp object.
The woman was able to get off the train at the 36th Street station, where she was taken to NYU Langone Hospital and is expected to recover.
The suspect remained on the train and has not been caught. He was last seen wearing a black jacket.
