Police say a man was injured in a shooting that involved police Friday afternoon in the Bronx.
Detectives say it happened on 755 White Plains Road around 3:10 p.m.
Authorities say officers responding to a 911 call about a "large dispute" encountered two people, including one who displayed a 9mm firearm.
The officers opened fire and struck the man twice in the leg, according to police.
EMS responded to the scene and the man was taken to Jacobi Hospital in stable condition.
Detectives say the officers were taken to a hospital for tinnitus.
Police say the man had a history of firearms arrest, and was indicted for a gun arrest in September.
Police say they also recovered a knife along with the loaded gun.
Detectives say they were still looking for the second person as of Friday night.
