        Norwalk celebrates 34th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act

        The ADA was signed into law by President George H. W. Bush and eliminates discrimination against individuals with disabilities.

        The city of Norwalk held a proclamation ceremony today recognizing the 34th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act today at city hall.
        The ADA was signed into law by President George H. W. Bush and eliminates discrimination against individuals with disabilities.
        Norwalk mayor Harry Rilling said Norwalk strives to be a welcoming environment to all community members, including those with disabilities.
        Joining the mayor at the ceremony was Sen. Richard Blumenthal, Rep. Jim Himes and representatives from the Norwalk Transit District.
