NJ Transit CEO: ‘Constructive’ discussions end for the day, will resume Sunday
UPDATE 4:30 PM: NJ Transit President and CEO Kris Kolluri says discussions with engineers’ union has ended for the day. Here’s his statement.
"Today's discussions continued to be constructive. We've mutually agreed to adjourn formal discussions for the day but will continue talking and look forward to resuming discussions tomorrow."

NJ Transit president and CEO Kris Kolluri stated that they are about 95% of the way to an agreement in the ongoing engineer strike.
Four hundred engineers and trainees stepped off the job and on to the picket line on Friday in the hopes of receiving better pay.
Kullori says the two sides will meet at 1 p.m. He released the following statement on Saturday morning:
“I am pleased the union reached out yesterday asking to meet later today, ahead of our scheduled meeting with the National Mediation Board on Sunday. I am hopeful that the meetings this weekend will continue to be productive and result in an agreement that meets with everyone’s satisfaction.”
