A man was killed after being struck by a NJ Transit bus Sunday in Philadelphia, authorities said.

The crash occurred around 5:50 p.m. on Arch Street at Independence Mall, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:55 p.m.

Authorities did not immediately release the victim’s identity.

It was not immediately clear what led to the incident.

NJ Transit did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
