New initiative launched on Long Island to better understand endometriosis

The EndoFund has now committed $10 million to the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory to establish the Seckin Endometriosis Research Center for Women's Health.

Scientists are currently working at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory to better understand endometriosis.
The chronic condition, which is often debilitating, effects more than 200 million women worldwide.
Endometriosis is when tissue grows outside the uterus that should not be there.
Dr. Tamer Seckin has dedicated his life to understanding the disease.
The EndoFund has now committed $10 million to the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory to establish the Seckin Endometriosis Research Center for Women's Health.
The goal is that their work leads to new diagnostic and therapeutic advances, as well as raise awareness about the disease.
