Today we will learn the name of Long Island's new indoor football team. Yeah, exciting day here. And joining us this morning to preview the big reveal is the general manager of the team, Peter Schwartz. Thanks for coming in, Peter. Oh, my pleasure. Thanks for having me. Let's talk about this team before we get to the team name. Uh, you want this to be a real Long Island roster, right? Yes, absolutely. There's been too many teams that have come and gone from Long Island where the fans just weren't connected with them. We just had a lacrosse team that left and last year had 0 Long Island players. Makes no sense, right? Long Island big lacrosse op ed, no Long Island players. I want to go in the completely other direction. I want a Long Island head coach. We have 18 roster spots. I'd like most, if not all, of those players to be from Long Island. That's so cool. And another cool thing for families to do to go. To the Nassau Coliseum for looking forward to that. What will the experience kind of look like for families? Yeah, I'm just glad the Coliseum is still up. We can still play games. I grew up going to Islander games and Billy Joel, and we want to see that building stay alive. So the day's gonna start with a big tailgate party a couple of hours before the game, some food, uh, food trucks and music and some games for the kids to play. Games will start at 6 o'clock on Saturday nights. Then after the game, the players will sign autographs, the dancers will too, and then we're gonna have a concert after the game right on the field. Wow. 30 minute 45 minute concert right after the game. All right. The team needs a name. Yes, I grew up going to Dragons games at the Coliseum, believe it or not, grew up in East Meadow. So right there we asked our viewers this morning, what do you think the team name should be. Got a whole host of different options here. Let's take a look at a few of these Long Island team names. The Strong Island Lions that came out. Michelle, what else do we have? John says it's obvious the pothole. That's a great. I just went over one. And Mark, that's our buddy Mark Cronin. He says, uh, the Osprey or Fish Hawks may be a little history. How about going back to the old name, the dragon? These are all great ideas. We actually had to name the team contest on the league's website. We had over 200 responses and there were a few names that fans felt very, very. Strongly about, so we hope we make them happy today. We're gonna find out and don't remember nostalgia with Sparky was a dragon because of the dragons. So you know, we will see. We're very in tune to this, and we want to know. We'll find out. Yeah, fun day, exciting day. We're all excited to be able to finally name the team today. Awesome. Thank you, Peter. Thank you.
