Pelham Bay residents say eight Hondas were broken into on their block overnight – and it’s not the first time it’s happened.
Joseph Sharff told News 12 that he woke up around 2 a.m. to find his Honda with the lock ripped off. He said the car's been targeted before as well.
Sharff said several Hondas within a block on 195th Street also have similar damage. The locks and air bags were ripped out.
Police were on the scene Monday morning to investigate. They didn’t release any information regarding suspects.
Sharff says the situation is out of control and is worrying that the price of his insurance will go up.
"I thought I was going to have a heart attack," he said.
