FORECAST:
More beautiful spring-like days are coming our way this week, but we also have some damp and rainy ones, too. Wednesday will follow Tuesday's lead with a cool start in the morning, followed by more pleasant conditions in the afternoon. The wind will not be a problem and will remain light. The winds will come onshore and create a temperature contrast from the immediate shoreline to inland areas. Look for highs to climb to the upper 50s closer to the sound and lower to middle 60s north of the I-95 corridor. This is the usual springtime phenomenon that happens living so close to a body of water.
Thursday is the vernal equinox, or the first day of spring. Unfortunately, the day looks mostly cloudy with a few showers or sprinkles.
The marine air will move inland during the day. There will be a line of rain/gusty storms late at night, heading into early Friday. This line of rain could bring about a half inch up to 1 inch of much-needed rain.
There will be another chance of rain by Monday.
