OVERNIGHT: The clear sky at night will allow it to cool down, back to the lower 40s for the Wednesday morning commute.
WEDNESDAY: The sun will warm the borough back up into the 60s, for most. A sea breeze will develop midday, cooling down the coast. Water temperatures are in the low 40s, so while inland parts of the borough could approach 65 degrees, the immediate coast may struggle to even reach 50. Clouds return Wednesday night and most of Thursday will be dreary.
THURSDAY: Dense fog is a concern overnight and for Thursday morning's commute. A mist and drizzle is possible by late-morning with a line of showers and storms likely arriving just after the evening commute, sparing both commutes from significant rain impacts. It will be a quick hit of rain between 7 p.m. and 2 a.m. as it stands now, with about a half inch expected in total. We need at least a dozen of these kinds of storms to eliminate most of the drought the borough is currently seeing.
FRIDAY: Thursday night's storm will usher in serious wind again on Friday. An early look suggests 50 mph gusts are on the table. That combined with very dry air and low humidity could elevate the fire risk once more. It will be much colder, too, with highs stuck in the 40s and feeling like the 30s. The wind goes down and the temperatures go back up this weekend, which is shaping up to be quite pleasant.
