The MTA says certain bus lines throughout the city will increase buses to shorten commutes and reduce wait times at bus stops.

In Brooklyn, those lines include the B17, B26, B74 and B103 lines.

News 12 spoke with commuter Jacqueline Mcree, who says she’s hopeful it will help.

“It can get much better, and adding more buses is going to be good for the service,” said Mcree.

Other commuters, like Akia Johnson, say any improvements will make a difference.

“Sometimes it’s really, really late, so I’m kind of glad I hope it’s going to get better I really do,” said Johnson.

The MTA says the improvements will start on Sunday.
