A man has pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from the fatal shooting of his niece, a Mount Vernon woman.
Michael Foster, 58, entered the plea during his arraignment Wednesday in Bronx Supreme Criminal Court, according to court records.
Authorities said Anderson was shot and killed outside her vehicle in the Wakefield section of The Bronx.
Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from a long-running dispute involving the inheritance of a home.
Officials said Foster and Anderson both lived in the home, which is located about a mile from where the shooting occurred.
Foster remains charged in the case and is scheduled to return to court in November.
