COMET WATCH: Try looking at the western sky around 45 minutes to one hour after sunset over the next few nights. You can see this with the unaided eye, but it looks even better with binoculars.

DROUGHT MONITOR: Abnormally dry conditions continue for a lot of the lower Hudson Valley. We are not in official drought status yet.

While we had some off-and-on rain on Sunday, mostly toward and north of I-84, the lower Hudson Valley still needs more beneficial rain! If you have any outdoor plans today though, most of the day ends up just windy and dry with highs in the 60s.

DUTCHESS AND ULSTER COUNTIES: Moderate to high color.

TODAY: After a lingering morning shower, expect a mix of clouds and some breaks of sun through this afternoon. At times, it may look mostly cloudy. It will be windy and cool. A quick light passing rain shower cannot be ruled out, but most of the rest of the day will be dry. Highs around 64 degrees.

TUESDAY: Sun and clouds. Breezy. Highs around 56 degrees. Lows near 39 degrees.

WEDNESDAY: Sun and clouds. Very cool with highs only around 54 degrees. Lows around 37 degrees.
