Most of the Hudson Valley will be under an extreme heat watch from Sunday afternoon through Tuesday evening.
It is in effect for the following counties: Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Orange, Dutchess, Eastern Ulster.
Daytime high temperatures are forecasted to get into the 90s for those days. But when the humidity is factored in, temperatures could feel into the upper 90s to upper 100s.
An extreme heat watch means that the combination of heat and humidity could create dangerous conditions where heat illnesses are possible.
People are urged to take extra precautions if they work or spend time outside.
