Metro-North's newest train wrap design is paying tribute to the troops this Veterans Day.
Officials unveiled the U.S. Veterans-themed engine at their rail yard in North White Plains.
The design includes references to all six branches of the U.S. military, with a stars and stripes motif featured on the front. A committee of veterans helped guide the entire design process.
"Everyone had an input on this final outcome, and I think it's a great tribute not just to Metro-North Railroad but our veterans and those who support us," said Chad Scholes, Metro-North's Chief Innovations Officer and a 20-year Air Force veteran.
The specially designed train will be on display at Grand Central Station on Tuesday for Veterans Day. It will then visit stations along all three Metro-North lines until Nov. 19.
