Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani confirms that he and his wife, Rama, will be moving to Gracie Mansion following his inauguration in January.

This comes after he previously dodged questions regarding whether or not he'd stay in his Astoria apartment once becoming mayor.

"This decision came down to our family's safety and the importance of dedicating all of my focus on enacting the affordability agenda New Yorkers voted for," said Mamdani.

Gracie Mansion has been the official residence for New York City mayors since 1942.
