Man wielding baseball bat killed by police in Woodbridge after domestic dispute

A police sergeant shot and killed a man wielding a baseball bat outside a convenience store in Woodbridge, according to the New Jersey Attorney General's Office.
The incident began at 1 a.m. Thursday when police responded to a domestic dispute call at a home on East Tappen Street, officials said.
Aamir Allen, 35, of Carteret, left the home before police arrived and walked to a nearby store on Port Reading Avenue.
Allen was carrying a bat outside the store when the officer shot him. He was taken to a hospital and later died.
