A 24-year-old man was stabbed in the torso while waiting on the platform of a Van Nest subway station late Tuesday night, according to police.

The incident happened at around 11:56 p.m. on the northbound platform of the 2 train at the East 180th station. The victim was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.

The stabbing comes as transit crime in the 52nd precinct continues to trend upwards.

Police data shows 38 incidents have been reported so far this year, compared to 34 during the same time last year. The increase is more than 11%.

As of Wednesday, there are no arrests. Sources tell News 12 the victim is not cooperating with the investigation.
