Police say a 38-year-old man was slashed in the arm in East New York on New Year's Day. A person of interest was taken into custody, according to officials.

The NYPD says the attack happened just after 1:30 a.m. at 520 Williams Ave.

EMS took the man to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.

The attack was domestic in nature, according to police sources.

No official charges have been made.
