Police are asking for help identifying two men after a robbery on a Q train platform in Flatbush earlier this month.
Newly released surveillance images show the two men investigators are trying to find in connection with the incident at the Newkirk Avenue station.
According to police, the robbery happened around 4 a.m. on June 14 on the southbound Q train platform.
Investigators say a 41-year-old man was waiting for a train when two men approached him. The man was punched several times before his backpack was taken, according to police.
The two men then ran off.
The victim stayed at the scene and did not need medical treatment.
Police have not said what was inside the backpack or whether it has been recovered.
The newly released images show one man wearing a black top and dark pants. The second man is seen wearing a white T-shirt while carrying a bag.
News 12 spoke with Michael Felman, who says he has lived in the neighborhood for 30 years and regularly uses the station.
While he says violence on the subway does not surprise him, he was surprised it happened at this particular station.
"I've taken the Q train at two in the morning, three in the morning, four in the morning, five in the morning," Felman said. "It's pretty crowded even at 4 or 5 when that happened."
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
