A man is dead and a woman is fighting for her life after a stabbing inside a Georgetown home Thursday night, according to police.
Officers were called around 7:36 p.m. to a home on East 69th St., where they found a 49-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds. Both were taken to Brookdale Hospital, where the man — identified by police as Juan Manuel Galicia — was pronounced dead. The woman remains in critical condition.
Police have not announced any arrests, but they did release a description of the person they’re looking for: a man in his 30s, about 5 feet 6 inches, last seen wearing a white hoodie and blue pants.
A police source tells News 12 the two victims were husband and wife and that investigators believe the attacker is a family member — specifically their son-in-law. Police have not publicly confirmed that detail.
Detectives are asking anyone who may have seen the man or have information to call police.
