A man was fatally shot at an apartment building in Morris Heights.
Police say they responded to an assault at 30 Richman Plaza just after 10 p.m. on Thursday. They discovered Justin Chatfield, 21, with a gunshot wound to the torso.
EMS took Chatfield to SBH Health System in critical condition but later died from his injuries.
A person of interest was taken into custody and the investigation is ongoing.
