A 30-year-old Brentwood man was arrested Tuesday morning in connection with a shooting at a Suffolk County barbecue last month, according to Suffolk County police.

Jose Quezada is accused of shooting a 35-year-old man in the neck during an altercation at the Brentwood barbeque on June 21.

The man was taken to a hospital, where he was treated and later released, police said.

detectives say they determined Quezada was the shooter following an investigation.

He was apprehended in Washington Heights in Manhattan by the United States Marshals New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force.

He is charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
