Junior Perez Diaz, the man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend who was later found in a suitcase along the Saw Mill River Parkway, pleaded not guilty Tuesday morning in court.

Pamela Alcantara, 26 was found on March 6, four days after being reported missing by her family.

Diaz is charged with kidnapping and murdering 26-year-old Pamela Alcantara. She died from asphyxiation, according to court documents.

Diaz is due back in court for pretrial motions in June.
