Well, if you want to take part in Jersey City restaurant fest, better hurry up. It's the last week. News, New Jersey's Lauren do live in Jersey City. Lauren, how's the coffee at 33rds Cafe? Exactly 3/3 cafe, so it must be full. That's where we're at. Jared the manager here, this place is a vibe. Tell me about it. Um, so yeah, the, the vibe over here would be so amazing. Like it depends on the mood where people are sitting down here trying to work. So we match it on them as well, but like usually we're we're just like a cool vibes over here we just like play some like uh especially like we do some like classic songs R&B songs like it depends on the flow of the day basically and some people love it there and I'm just like. If we can do like a dance vibe we could also do a dance vibe as well over here too, you know exactly there you go be cozy and then there's the music there so restaurant fest this is the last week. What can people get over here? Um, so yeah, the popular one over here they've been getting the brown sugar vanilla latte and the peanut butter cream, uh, so those are the popular dreams that we have so far and they pair with uh with uh with some. Pastries, which is the almond croissant that's the famous pastry that we have over here and the pan de bono. Unfortunately the pan de bono is in the oven. It's not ready yet, so it's coming in in a few minutes and it will be fresh if you hurry it is fresh. Our our pastry is fresh all the day all the time, so yeah, so that's a good thing here and Jared, you're the manager here so tell me about your background. Um, so yeah, so I started managing the coffee shop just like recently. So what I did is just that I, I used to be a staff over here and then um I just like started learning coffee and stuff so they gave us, uh, they gave me a chance to like you know to like run the coffee shop like they help they helped me as well if what else the needs that I had to do so it man managing is like very new to me so uh so what I did is just like I just started what I can do here and then. Day by day we had good pickups for everything like the sales are getting higher compared to last time and then as soon as that we just like, you know, uh, I started taking class free classes regarding for coffee which is uh our supplier of our coffee offers a free class in the city, so we, uh, I took some of the class. They're real quick, what is your favorite drink to make? Definitely the latte, which is the purple, purple drink. I'm dressed accordingly. Jared, thank you so much for your time this morning. Lauren. That's all we're doing. We're drinking coffee this morning. It's only the ones that are open this early. We're at Crema. We have Mariana, the manager here. Jesus, the owner, good to see you guys. Thank you for having me. I love it here. It's so cozy. It's so quaint. What's the whole point of this coffee shop? Well, we opened a coffee shop like, um, um, a place to meet each other, a social place, like a social club, and, uh, uh, we support. And they are the local artists, so we are doing all the time installing and art exhibitions and we try to look to be in everything is uh do by people that live here and I love everything is the menu. It's so great and you can actually see what you're ordering what are you ordering what's a latte, you know, espresso latte, old school. And there's food here as well, right? Yes, we have toast like it's like an open sandwich, uh, with different ingredients. We make salads, soups, empanadas. Oh, OK, and empanadas. Uh, we have pan de bono also we cook here. Look, we are cooking the croissants now, so, uh, Jesus is making a coffee, yeah, but what, what are you making? I'm going to do the Cortado perfect. That's exactly what I wanted, any kind of milk is anything, you know how cool is this? You're going to wake up with a cortado. People say I don't need more coffee. I think me and you are on the same page, you know, we don't need anymore, but we could use it, yeah, of course. Well, cool what a fun environment this is, and you can add any flavors if you want. We have a lot of flavors vanilla, that's good. That works. You have vanilla, chocolate, what do you wanna put in the coffee, um, so what's your favorite part about working here and seeing, you know what, talk with the people because I feel like I'm in the cafe sitting every day and talking with uh with everybody. It is the best part. amazing. Alright, well we're gonna let us do whip up that coffee. We're gonna. Whip up the milk. We're gonna pour it in, and we're gonna take a sip. We're gonna be caffeinated this morning, of course. Also you have another options like latte, matcha, yeah, and you can try them all for restaurants, of course, yes, you have the drink and a pastry. uh, look at this here we go. We're gonna do this. This is a look at this car you wanna let's face it to rich so we could see. Oh, we're gonna do a little bit. Look at that. Amazing. What a great day to sit outside and sip a cup of coffee too. Lauren, maybe a little yogurt to go with all that coffee so far this morning. Absolutely this is the best day ever. You know what the weather is perfect too, Britney. It's amazing. This is amazing. So let's do it. Let's make it to yogurt. So some of our flavors that you were talking about, we've got the vanilla oat, which is a vegan flavor, um we've got chocolate vanilla next to vegan chocolate vanilla so we like having options for everyone. We do. uh, strawberry shortcake is another big popular one. Love the pink and the white. Oh it looks beautiful, it's perfect, yeah, I love that. We'll let you take it to the back so you can do all the toppings. So these you got the tart, the vanilla custard, peanut butter is new. Um, we just, we traded up pistachio for peanut butter just last week. Britney, I definitely need the Dunkaroos. Yes, so Dunkaroos, we've got 3 puddings that we added fairly recently to the toppings bar. They're made with with real pudding mix and yeah they're totally unique program uh uh product and awesome. We also have edible cookie doughs um we have some fresh fruit chopped. People love the uh mango and strawberry boba that we have there. Can we add some rainbow sprinkles to it? Absolutely we can always add rainbow sprinkles. There we go. And for restaurant week, what are, what are you serving for restaurant week? For Restaurant week we have um a 2 for 1 special so anyone can come in at any time and if they mention that they are with Restaurant Week, um, they, since everything's by weight, we weigh both of their yogurts and we only charge them for one of them 2 for 12 for 1. That's it's amazing. because everything's by weight so you can get, you know, a lot for that. That is so cool and unrelated but kind of related the robot comes here, the robot. So recently Jersey City was one of the first cities in the US to get a robot delivery with Uber Eats. So we have a robot that usually sits outside the store and uh a couple times every night we get a a delivery order and we have a robot we press a button we put the the. The delivery order in the robot and like the robot goes to whatever building they live in. I love it. It's been weird and cool and everyone looks at it and it's very futuristic, but we love that.
