Milford welcomed a new restaurant over the weekend with the opening of Las Margaritas. The spot features a wide array of Mexican specialties.

Chef Carmelo Garcia says many of his recipes have been passed down through his family for generations.

His partner Jose Lucero says the menu offers flavors from mild to spicy and dishes from different regions of Mexico.

Las Margaritas is located at 501 New Haven Avenue near Old Gate Lane.

Owners say they hope the restaurant becomes a go-to destination for authentic cuisine.
