The Westchester County Probation Department has introduced its newest member, K-9 Nacho, who recently graduated from the Connecticut State Police Academy. Nacho is trained to detect electronic storage devices that criminals may disguise as regular household items.
He will aid in monitoring and supervising individuals, particularly sex offenders, to ensure compliance with court-ordered restrictions.
K-9 Nacho will visit the homes of sex offenders to sniff out electronic devices they are not allowed to possess.
