It was a day to remember for dozens of elite high school athletes in Newark as they got to spend the day with gold medalist Noah Malone.
Malone earned the gold in the Universal 4 × 800 Meters Relay Finals at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo in 2020.Malone is living with Leber’s Hereditary Optic Neuropathy, a rare eye condition that leaves him blind. He met with 80 elected student athletes at Weequahic High School.
Malone spent time walking the track with the students and signed autographs.
