A truckload of fire equipment from New Jersey arrived this month in the tiny Oklahoma town of Burns Flat. It's about 100 miles west of Oklahoma City.
Fire crews there are now better prepared thanks to the Somerdale Fire Department in Camden County.
Somerdale became a collection point for surplus gear and equipment no longer being used in our area. In Oklahoma, especially the small towns, it is much needed and much appreciated.
