Tiziana Pierini, better known as Miss New Jersey, is about to represent New Jersey on the national stage. She is headed to Las Vegas this weekend, hoping to win the national pageant.

Before going west, Pierini stopped by Children's Specialized Hospital in New Brunswick to spread some joy. Passing her tiara around was a big thrill for the kids.

Pierini is an Ocean County native who went to Stockton University. She won Miss New Jersey in August.

The national pageant begins on Saturday.
