A Hackensack paramedic is sharing his story of survival and resilience as the 25th anniversary of 9/11 approaches.

Tito Rodriguez was among the first paramedics at the World Trade Center. He survived both tower collapses and worked for nearly 30 straight hours during the response.

Years later, Rodriguez was diagnosed with a rare cancer recognized as a 9/11-related illness.

He was treated at Hackensack University Medical Center and is now cancer-free.

Rodriguez says he is sharing his story to remember those lost and highlight the lasting impact 9/11 had on first responders.
