When you think of Cape May, you probably think of charming B&Bs, nice shops and the beach.

But there's another side to the beach community.

Cape May is also home to the United States Coast Guard Training Center. Every week, a new group of recruits arrives for the first step of their Coast Guard journey.

The Coast Guard calls one part of that process the RAMP program, short for Recruit Aptitude and Motivation Program.

The Coast Guard recently shared photos of the program online, giving the public a glimpse at what happens behind the gates in Cape May and showing a very different side of the town.
