New Jersey is home to over 2,500 centenarians, according to Census data.

That puts the Garden State in the Top 10 for most residents aged 100 and over.

The list includes Ms. Ethel, of Glassboro, who celebrated her 104th birthday on Jan. 17.

She was joined by members of the Glassboro Police Department and Mayor John E. Wallace III.

Ms. Ethel and her family celebrated with cake and hoagies at her home at the Summit Place in Gloucester County.
