Employees from insurance company Conner Strong & Buckelew spent the day giving back to the community by helping revitalize HB Wilson Family School in Camden as part of the company’s annual Week of Service. With students out for the summer, volunteers had the playground and school building to themselves, using paintbrushes to give the campus a fresh new look.
The team repainted playground equipment, including the school’s map of the United States and completed projects inside the building as well. When students return this fall, they’ll be welcomed by brighter spaces and an inspiring message painted in the hallway that reads: “Dream Big, Work Hard and Never Give Up.”
The project is one of many community service efforts taking place across New Jersey as companies dedicate time to giving back.
