Homes for the Brave on Park Avenue in Bridgeport is getting the word out about the nonprofit's signature fundraiser - the 11th Annual Step Up for the Brave Challenge. "We are so excited to be promoting this event because it supports our great American heroes who have fallen on hard times," said Mea Allbert, of Homes for the Brave. "Step Up for the Brave raises critical funds for Homes for the Brave that allow us to serve these veterans experiencing homelessness, hunger and mental health challenges." The event is taking place Saturday at SHU's Martire Family Arena.
