        Homeless man charged with murder in Spring Valley abandoned building slaying

        A 26-year-old homeless man has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder in the death of an unidentified adult male in Spring Valley.
        The victim's body was discovered yesterday morning in a building at 10 Centre St.
        Christian Guzman-Loera allegedly struck the man in the head and body with a piece of lumber and left him in freezing temperatures, according to a complaint filed by police in village court.
        It remains unclear how long the body had been there before it was found.
        Guzman-Loera appeared in village court today.
        Authorities have not yet released a motive for the murder.
