HEAT ALERT: Extreme Heat Warning issued for the Hudson Valley

An Extreme Heat Warning has been issued for the Hudson Valley. High temperatures will reach near 100F with feels like temperatures 105-110F.
Showers will linger for the remainder of the morning. While most of this rain is light, there's a risk for heavy rain N&W
There's an intense cluster of thunderstorms over Central New York, that is supposed to weaken before arriving in the Hudson Valley, however it is possible that they do not weaken in time.
There are no active alerts related to rain at this time; however, we will keep an eye on this storm cluster this morning for Ulster, Orange, and Sullivan county.
TODAY: Hazy, hot, and humid. High temperatures in the low to mid 90s with heat index values 100-105F. An isolated thunderstorm is possible late morning or early afternoon.
MONDAY: Very hot. High temperatures in the upper 90s. heat index values around 105-110F.
TUESDAY: Very hot. Record high temperatures for June expected. Highs near 100F. heat index values 105-110F.
WEDNESDAY: Hot. High temperatures near 90. Afternoon clouds with a stray shower possible in the evening.
THURSDAY: Seasonable with clouds and a passing shower. Highs in the low 80s.
END OF WEEK: Clouds and less hot. High temperatures in the upper 70s with a passing shower.
