        Many people have heard of the “baby blues" when a parent is feeling down after giving birth.
        However, when those feelings last longer than a few weeks - or even turn into thoughts of oneself or their baby - it could be postpartum depression or anxiety.
        Medical experts say perinatal or postpartum mood and anxiety disorder, also known as P-MADS, can be as common as 1 in 7 women.
        The numbers are even higher among parents of color.
        News 12’s Noëlle Lilley spoke to two moms - one doctor and one patient - about the power of asking for help.
