A Bridgeport man was arrested in Shelton in connection with an armed home invasion that happened last Valentine's Day, police say.

Shelton police identified the suspect as Hipolito Rodriguez.

Police say two men armed with handguns broke into a home near Sunnyside School and held the homeowners at gunpoint for several hours while demanding money.

The suspects eventually left with jewelry, police say.

Rodriguez faces four charges, police say.

Police say additional arrests are expected.
