Hollywood came to Connecticut Wednesday night as some of the biggest names in comedy attended the Greenwich International Film Festival’s 10th annual Changemaker Gala.
Comedians Jerry Seinfeld, Amy Schumer and Jim Gaffigan were on the red carpet.
Seinfeld and his wife, Jessica, were honored as this year’s GIFF Changemaker honorees.
The event honors humanitarians using their platform for positive social change.
“Parents who are incarcerated deserve to spend time with their children,” Jessica Seinfeld says. “Our film, 'Daughters,' which is on Netflix right now, covers the same theme.”
Proceeds from this year’s event benefit the Children’s Museum of Manhattan's Family Connections program.
“Tonight, we are celebrating our 10th changemakers with Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld,” GIFF founder Wendy Stapleton says. “We are so excited to be supporting the Children’s Museum of Manhattan's Family Reunification Program."
GIFF is an all-female run nonprofit with 50% of its projects either written or directed by women.
